INDIVIDUAL SHOPPING CART ORDERS

To order additional books, you need only click "continue shopping" to be returned to our site for further selections. Your ordering information will be automatically saved. If we are advertising any special price or free shipping, etc., the order will be adjusted before you credit card is charged.

SHIPPING

Our standard method for shipping books in U.S. will be media mail, $3.50 for first book, $.50 for each additional book.

Priority flat rate for up to two pounds is $5.25.

ORDERS TO THE TRADE:

Most titles published after 2007 can be purchased by wholesalers through Ingram Book Company. This includes US and Canadian bookstores. Wordcraft of Oregon, LLC, has a no returns policy on orders placed through Ingram's, so wholesalers should order only what they need or are willing to keep. (FOR BOOKSTORES SPONSORING AUTHOR EVENTS -- U.S. ONLY -- SEE BELOW.)

Orders placed directly to Wordcraft of Oregon (U.S. only): After an initial pre-paid order is received from new accounts, an account will be established for bookstores and libraries. Once an account is set up for a bookstore or library, we will accept email orders with PO number, shipping address and contact information. Wordcraft of Oregon, LLC, will invoice these orders. If boolstores wish to use credit card for orders, adjustment for discount and shipping costs will be made before your credit card is charged.

BOOKSTORES receive a 40% discount, plus shipping and handling (see above).

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: These orders can be made through the shopping cart and rates have been based on recent U.S. Postal Service increases. Please note that "surface book" options have been eliminated. All orders must be shipped via airmail.

RETURN POLICY
Since our products are books, we do not give refunds or accept returns, unless for an author event (see below). However, books received in damaged condition will be replaced. Damaged book must be returned at buyer's expense, though we will pay shipping on our end to replace the book.

Our return policy is influenced by many factors, not the least of which is the carbon footprint left by books traveling back and forth burning up a lot of diesel fuel. According to an article in the August 2007 issue of PMA Independent, the newsletter of the Independent Book Publishers Association, Mike Dyer, of Chelsea Green Publishing, says “Given the total number of books shipped last year and the average rate of returns, we found that an extra 1,305 million pounds of books traveled an extra 59 million miles, consumed 8.4 million gallons of diesel fuel, and released 188 million pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere. And these figures don’t include returned books reshipped to vendors, or damaged returns being sent to a recycler or, worse, to a landfill.” So Wordcraft of Oregon, in an attempt to find some middle ground with booksellers, allows for full bookstore discounts on orders of single books, while adopting a non-returnable buying structure.

CLASSROOM EXAMINATION copies can be obtained for 50% discount. If the title is then adopted for a class, the charge for the examination copy will be refunded upon request.

AUTHOR EVENTS

We do not require bookstores to have an account or pay in advance when sponsoring an author event. Bookstore orders for author events can be returned if within 30 days following the event and under the following conditions: All returns must be received in new and saleable condition. Stickered, ink-priced, shopworn or otherwise damaged books will NOT be credited. It is important that you pack them carefully as we cannot credit returned books damaged in shipment. Please ensure books being returned were supplied by us. Books WITH INVOICE will be credited at bookstore discount of 40% of retail. Payment for sold books or those kept in stock should be made at time of return. When returned books and payment have been received, invoice will be adjusted, marked as paid and copy sent to bookstore. Bookstore must pay shipping costs and may ship by least expensive method (media book).
